BSc Geology, MSc Geosciences (Resource Estimation and Geostatistics), Citation in Mining Geostatistics, FAusIMM, RP SME and PQR.CBRR.
Alessandro is a geologist with MSc qualifications in geostatistics, resource evaluation and metallogeny. He has more than 21 years’ international experience in the mining industry working in operations and projects in Americas Continent (Brazil, Argentina, USA, Chile, Canada, Colombia, Peru) in a wide range of geological environments and deposit types including Archean Lode Sulphides, Archean Conglomerates, Epithermal Veins, Porphyritic, Intrusion Related, Volcanic Associated, BIF Hosted with Sulphides and Quartz Alteration. His skills are in geological modelling, resource evaluation for Open Pit and Underground mines, resources and reserves audit, due diligence and business development, public reporting, quantitative risk assessment using geostatistical methods, to support mine geology, reconciliation, project management, statutory and competent persons’ reporting, and mining studies. Alessandro Silva has experience as a Competent/Qualified Person Gold, Silver and Copper supporting executive decisions for projects, operations, and business development initiatives.
Hamish Guthrie – Managing Consutant – Mining
Hamish is a mining engineer with more than 20 years’ experience in underground and open-pit production, project development, consulting and mining management at operational and corporate levels.
Hamish has commodity experience in gold, nickel, copper, zinc, coal and iron ore and is proficient in the use of software applications for mine design, scheduling, cost estimation and financial modelling.
Hamish’s skills are based on the application of practical mine planning, quantitative risk assessment and identification of value opportunities, due diligence reviews, training and mentoring, strategic advice, project management, mining studies, cost estimation, and statutory and competent persons’ reporting.
Julian Aldridge – Principal Consultant – Geologist
MSc Mining Geology (MCSM), MESci (Oxon), CGeol, FGS
Julian has more than 17 years of experience as a geologist in resource assessment / mineral exploration and project management of grassroots to feasibility stage projects. He is skilled in 3D modelling, resource assessment, QAQC assessment and data/statistical analysis. He is a Chartered Geologist (CGeol) with the Geological Society of London, a Member of the IOM3 (MIMMM) and acts as a CP/QP. Before working as a consultant, Julian spent 10 years as an exploration geologist, managing drill programmes, running geochemical sampling and geophysical programmes in multiple countries.
He has an excellent practical knowledge of modern mapping, sampling and analysis techniques and has spent time working on remote sites and communicating in different cultures, allowing him to develop an excellent analysis and interpretation ability. Julian has an expert knowledge of genetic and descriptive metallogenic models.
Gilberto Takahashi – Principal Consultant – Mine Engineer
BSc (Mine Engineer)
Gilberto is a mine engineer with more than 30 years’ Latin America experience in the mining industry.
Gilberto’s skills are based on his long experience at Datamine with mining software implementation and training, as well as specialized services and consultancy in modelling and resource estimation, design and planning of open pit mines and reserves calculation for various commodities such as iron ore, manganese, copper, gold, niobium, phosphate and bauxite. More recently, Gilberto has focused on the integration of the entire mining value chain from mine to port.
Matt Walker – Senior Consultant – Geologist
MSc, BSc, ACSM, University of Exeter, Camborne School of Mines, MAusIMM
Matt is a geologist with more than 12 years’ experience spanning underground, and open pit production, resource development and resultant resource estimation.
Matt brings broad operational experience, spanning the traditional mining cycle from exploration to reconciliation. Matt specialises in the first principles’ approach to geological modelling through to resource estimation resulting in a practicable grade control practices to maximise mine value.
Matt has experience in multiple commodities covering gold, copper, lithium, zinc and lead. Matt’s strengths are in the 3D modelling (Leapfrog Geo/Datamine) of mineralised systems and delivering models with communicated risk to end stakeholders.
