Shepherd Kadzviti

Head of Advisory - EMEAA

Shepherd Kadzviti is Snowden Optiro’s Head of Advisory for EMEAA based in Johannesburg. He has more than 34 years’ experience in exploration geology, mining geology, mineral resource estimation and mineral resource management. He has worked for several mining companies in different roles as geologist, evaluation/resource geologist, mining manager and group mineral resources manager.

He has experience in mineral resource estimation for several commodities such as gold, platinum group metals, chrome, nickel, iron ore, manganese, and copper. He has participated in due diligence studies on acquisition opportunities in copper, platinum group metals, nickel, and iron ore.

He has been the Competent Person for Mineral Resources for a mining group for over ten years and has signed off their annual mineral resources and mineral reserve reports during this period.

Shepherd is registered with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professionals (SACNASP) as a professional scientist (Pri.Sci.Nat). He is a fellow of the Geological Society of South Africa (GSSA) and a member of the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM).

He is a Competent Person for the following commodities: Gold, Iron ore, Manganese, PGMs, Copper, and Nickel.
