Helen Barnes is a Principal Consultant – Geology at Snowden Optiro and is based in Brisbane. She has over 15 years of experience in resource development, estimation, and mine geology across both underground and open pit operations. She also has extensive experience working on copper and polymetallic systems.

Helen’s core expertise includes JORC-compliant reporting, 3D geological and fault modelling, and resource estimation to support Life of Mine extensions. She is skilled in using geological models and resource evaluations to identify opportunities for resource growth and optimisation, as well as improving modelling workflows and technical outcomes.

Helen has held a range of senior and principal roles throughout her career, where she has contributed to advancing modelling practices and delivering robust, high-quality resource estimates across complex orebodies.
