Corey Achikian – Geology Consultant, APAC

Corey is a Consultant Geologist based in Snowden Optiro’s Perth office, with over eight years of experience across mineral exploration, resource development and grade control in both open-pit and underground mining environments.

Corey has extensive experience working on greenfields and brownfields projects, with a strong focus on orogenic gold systems within the Yilgarn Craton, Western Australia. His technical background is complemented by exposure to manganese, potash and petroleum projects, providing a broad understanding of diverse geological settings.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours H2A) in Geology and Chemistry, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Geostatistics and Spatial Modelling. Corey is proficient in industry-standard geological software, including 3D geological modelling using Leapfrog and Datamine.

Corey is a Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AIG) and has a strong interest in mentoring and upskilling colleagues. He works closely with clients and project teams to deliver practical, technically robust geological and resource solutions.
