What to review on commencement of a Life of Mine Plan, including topography surfaces, the block model, geological wireframes, existing/previous work/reports, covering the following disciplines:

  • Geo-mechanics
  • Climate, seismic

Site visit requirements:

  • What to look for in a site visit
  • Documentation and site visit report

Mining operations strategy:

  • Site layout review, location of haul roads, stockpiles and waste dumps
  • Wet season mining strategy
  • Stockpiling strategy, cut-off grades
  • Equipment selection
  • Mine to mill strategy including selection of the ore feed blend, including grade control, stockpiling, homogenising, and run of mine (ROM) pad sizing and management

Pit optimisation:

  • Preparation of inputs
