Getting the Most out of QA/QC Data – Online or In-Person in Bristol, UK & Johannesburg, SA
Presenters: Julian Aldridge – Regional Manager; Senzeni Mandava – Principal Consultant; Laurie Hassall – Senior Consultant
This two-day course covers the QA/QC lifecycle: from planning the types and frequencies of QA/QC data to be collected; the mechanics of collecting, transporting and submitting the samples; analysing to reveal systematic and trending errors; deciding what is and what isn’t a failure; and to making the changes in the resource database. We take a holistic view of QA/QC and emphasise the importance of having a rigorous and comprehensive system. We emphasise learning the key techniques by building the analysis tools in Microsoft Excel and by analysing and commenting on real-life QA/QC data.
Concepts:
- Sampling process and error
- Accuracy and precision
- Bias and error
- Data management

Measuring accuracy:
- Standards
- Dealing with multiple standards
