Your role
Your assignments will include resource estimation of a variety of commodities, review and valuation of resource projects, working with leading edge geostatistical and geological modelling tools, site visits for geological evaluation and client meetings, feasibility and optimisation studies, risk analysis and assessment, due diligence and audits, and preparation of technical reports.
We would expect you to work autonomously but within the collaborative Optiro environment.
There will be the opportunity for local and international travel once this is an option for Australians.
The role is West Perth based with public transport on the doorstep.
Your skills and experience
You will have more than 20 years’ experience preferably in a range of commodities and environments, with strong practical operational experience coupled with high end technical and evaluation knowledge.
We prize superior geological and mining software skills, with Datamine or similar, Leapfrog and Supervisor or Isatis/Neo preferred.
We value a strong work ethic, the ability to understand client needs and to communicate clearly and effectively, diplomacy and advanced written skills.
Your general data handling skills will be exceptional.
The ability to work harmoniously in small teams and with a range of clients is important.
You will have AusIMM or AIG membership and be a Competent Person for Resource Estimation.

You will have more than 7-10 years experience, with strong practical operational experience coupled with proven competency in orebody interpretation, wireframing and modelling. Geostatistical experience is preferred; however, comprehensive in-house training by our industry specialists will be provided.
Experience in a production environment, preferably both underground and open pit, is required.
