Tarrant Elkington – Executive General Manager
PhD, BEng(Hons), BComm, MAusIMM
Tarrant specialising in mining strategy selection and providing solutions to unique and/or complex mine planning problems. This is supported by a Ph.D. in mine optimisation. He has been involved in more than 200 studies in Australia, South America, North America, Africa, Europe, and Asia; across precious metals, base metals, industrial minerals and iron ore, and for both open pit and underground mining methods. As Snowden Optiro’s Global Executive General Manager, Tarrant is responsible for the strategy and operations of the Snowden Optiro business. Tarrant is passionate about improvement and strategy; to find a better way to do things. His particular strengths are a focus on the global system, and the ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple way to a range of stakeholders. Tarrant’s special interest lies in mine electrification technology to help drive change as the industry moves to a cleaner energy future.

Alessandro Silva is a geologist with MSc qualifications in geostatistics, resource evaluation and metallogeny who has over 21 years’ international experience in the mining industry working in operations and projects in Americas Continent (Brazil, Argentina, USA, Chile, Canada, Colombia, Peru) in a wide range of geological environments and deposit types (Archean Lode Sulphides, Archean Conglomerates, Epithermal Veins, Porphyritic, Intrusion Related, Volcanic Associated, BIF Hosted with Sulphides and Quartz Alteration). The skills are in geological modelling,
resource evaluation for Open Pit and Underground mines, resources and reserves audit, due diligence and business development, public reporting, quantitative risk assessment using geostatistical methods, to support mine geology, reconciliation, project management, statutory and competent persons’ reporting, and mining studies. Alessandro Silva has experience as Competent/Qualified Person Gold, Silver and Copper supporting executive decisions for projects, operations, and business development initiatives.
Danny Tolmer – Regional Manager North America

Danny is a professional mining engineer with more than 18 years of experience in mine project economic evaluation, open pit drill and blast engineering, short-term and long-term planning, design, and site supervision. He has specialist skills in project management, open pit economic evaluation, various mine software packages, data management, and mine site technical assistance. Danny’s consulting assignments have included numerous technical studies and audits, mine operational assistance, and due diligence studies. He has assisted operations from start-up to closure. Danny’s commodity experience includes coal, copper, diamonds, gold, silver, nickel, lead, zinc, uranium, limestone, rare earth, and specialty industrial aggregates such as fracsand. Danny is a Qualified Person for open pit mining for NI 43-101 and S-K 1300 technical reporting.
