SENIOR / PRINCIPAL / EXECUTIVE CONSULTANT – Mining

Your role
Your role will be to provide mining advisory services and training courses for Snowden Optiro in the field of mine engineering. You will advise clients as part of mine development studies (including decarbonisation studies), audits, technical reviews, due diligence and operational improvement studies. You will manage projects, provide advice to clients, develop business, provide thought leadership in your area of expertise, deliver training courses, and provide internal and external mentoring.
The role could be based anywhere in in Canada. We would expect you to work autonomously but within our collaborative environment. There will be the expectation of local and international travel.

Your skills and experience
To be considered for this role should have:
- Over 10 years of experience in the mining industry.
- Professional qualification in mine engineering or similar.
- A breadth of experience across a range of commodities and experience in both mine development and production environments would be highly valued.
- Strong mining software skills
- Strong techno-economic analysis skills
- A broad professional network and strong reputation
- Excellent English skills (both written and verbal)
- Second language skills would be well regarded
- Previous experience in a consulting environment would be beneficial
- A strong work ethic and dedication to delivery
- A desire to learn and make a difference to the industry

You will advise clients as part of resource estimations, audits, technical reviews, due diligence and operational improvement studies. You will manage projects, provide advice to clients, develop business, provide thought leadership in your area of expertise, deliver training courses, and provide internal and external mentoring.
