Snowden Optiro geologist Julian Aldridge attended the 45th MDSG conference in Leicester from January 4th – 6th. The conference was hosted by the Centre for Sustainable Resource Extraction at the University of Leicester; exactly 10 years since it was last hosted in the city.
Julian presented a talk titled Scale Invariance in Ore Deposits; A method to quantify nugget effect, which outlines a method for optimising sampling and drillhole spacing without causing low-bias in grade estimation.
